Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan today inaugurated the newly upgraded diagnostic lab facility that was recently set up at the Raj Bhavan dispensary.
The lab has been equipped with an auto-analyser that will be useful for various pathological and bio-chemical medical tests.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said, "The new and upgraded testing facilities will help the members of the Raj Bhavan pariwar to avail themselves of high-quality healthcare and various crucial diagnostic tests at the Raj Bhavan dispensary itself. This will help the Raj Bhavan pariwar greatly. I am very happy to be inaugurating the lab."
Her husband and renowned nephrologist, Dr P Soundararajan, Secretary to Governor K Surendra Mohan and various senior medical professionals from the ESIC Hospital and Medical College were among those present for the inauguration ceremony.
The state government has recently been heavily involved in widening access to high-quality diagnostic facilities to all the people of Telangana - some days ago, Health Minister Etala Rajender had revealed that the government was planning to
set up 18 diagnostic centres across various district hospitals, and that it was hoping to finish the works for the same by the end of April.
The eighteen new centres will push up the total number of such labs to 26. Various centres have already been set up in Hyderabad. They are situated in Amberpet, Lalapet, Sithaphalmandi, Jangampet, Sri Ram Nagar, Barkas, Panipura, and Purana Pul.
