On World IVF Day today, Ferty9 Fertility Centre unveiled the Lens Hooke X12 PRO, an AI-powered semen analyser, at a special event in Secunderabad.
With this, it becomes the first IVF chain in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to implement the technology across all its centres and provide people with precision diagnostics and inclusive reproductive care.
The occasion was celebrated in the presence of popular actress Laya.
Couples who had successfully conceived and delivered with the help of Ferty9 also joined the celebration, and shared their stories of resilience and renewed hope.
This development comes at a time when India's Total Fertility Rate (TFR) has declined to 1.9 - below the replacement level of 2.1. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the figures are even lower at 1.7 and 1.8 respectively. As per reports, equitable fertility care, particularly for male-factor infertility, has become important at this point.
Lens Hooke X12 PRO analyses over 3,000 sperm cells per sample in under six minutes, and provides precise insights into sperm count, motility, morphology and DNA integrity. By identifying both single- and double-strand DNA breaks, embryologists can select the most viable sperm for fertilization, reducing IVF failure rates and improving pregnancy outcomes.
