Telangana Government Fully Transparent: Governor
Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan said the government would ensure a corruption-free society, and that political corruption would be eradicated.

Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan stated that the Telangana government had been working in a fully transparent manner.
Addressing the official Republic Day function at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on Monday, the Governor said that the benefits of the government's welfare schemes should reach everyone.
He said that the government was taking all possible steps to ensure that no deserving beneficiary was deprived of the benefits of the welfare schemes.
He assured that the Telangana government would ensure a corruption-free society, and that measures would be taken to eradicate political corruption.
The Governor informed that measures were being taken to turn Hyderabad into a global city. He said that law and order was being given top priority, and 24-hour surveillance would be ensured through installation of CC cameras throughout the city. Several expressways would also be constructed to ease the traffic congestions in Hyderabad.
He also claimed that Telangana was heading towards high agriculture and industrial growth, and said that the state would witness a green revolution in the next two years through the Haritha Haram initiative.
Speaking about the energy situation, he said that the state government aimed to achieve the target of 20,000 MW power production in the next three years. The government also intended to complete the Nettampadu, Kalwakurthy, Bheema and Koilsagar projects soon.
He reiterated that poor people would be provided 2 BHK flats under the weaker section housing scheme.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Assembly Speaker S Madhusudan Chary, Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma, DGP Anurag Sharma, cabinet ministers, senior officials and other VIPs also attended the Republic Day celebrations. (INN)
