The Telangana government on Saturday constituted a Techno-Financial Committee to overcome certain critical issues such as lack of convergence and coordination among various government departments in execution of IT projects.
The committee will address issues like duplication of efforts, delay in execution, wastage of money, lack of software, standardization and unresolved data security issues.
The committee will be led by the ITE&C Department Secretary, with the Finance Department (W&P) Secretary, the HoDs of the departments concerned and the APTS MD being its members.
The committee will prepare the request for proposal covering the objectives, pre-qualification criteria, service level agreements and key performance indicators for the exercise, and complete the tender process, for IT projects with an investment of Rs 5 crores and above, spread over any time period, being executed by government departments / agencies / autonomous bodies / corporations / universities.
