AI For Vehicle Fitness Assessments In Telangana
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the government was introducing AI-based reforms in vehicle fitness assessments, and promoting electric, CNG and LPG vehicles.
The Telangana government was implementing several reforms in the transport sector, including the introduction of AI technology for vehicle fitness assessments, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said today.
He also spoke about the government's commitment to promoting electric, CNG and LPG vehicles in Hyderabad to help reduce pollution.
The passing out parade for Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors (AMVIs) was held at the Telangana Police Academy on Wednesday, with Prabhakar serving as the chief guest. A total of 96 AMVIs graduated at the event, where the minister received a salute from the trainees.
In his address, Prabhakar said that the newly appointed officers needed to strive to become role models for the nation.
He also said that preventive measures needed to be adopted to reduce the frequency of road accidents, and that over 300 personnel currently in service would undergo two months of training to that end.
"We must also enhance the reputation of our villages by promoting discipline. Efforts should be made to educate rural communities about laws and judicial regulations related to transport," he added.
He also said that efforts were underway to create job opportunities in the Transport Department for unemployed youth.
