Hyderabad Developed During Congress Rule: Diggy

Campaigning for the GHMC elections in Hyderabad, the AICC general secretary said the airport, Ring Road and Metro Rail projects all came during the Congress rule.
Hyderabad | 29th January 2016
Alleging that no development had taken place in the last 18 months' rule of the TRS government, AICC general secretary and Telangana State Party affairs in-charge Digvijaya Singh said that the international airport, Outer Ring Road and Metro Rail projects came during the Congress rule.

Participating in the GHMC election campaign at Manikeshwari Nagar in the Tarnaka and Boudhanagar divisions on Thursday, Singh alleged that the TRS was uttering falsehoods on settlers, the power situation, and the law and order situation.

Singh asked the TRS why a single woman was not made a minister in the Telangana cabinet. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao felt that Nizamabad MP K Kavitha was the only woman in the TRS, and the only one capable of taking up a minister post.

Singh also addressed several public meetings and road shows in the Chandrayangutta and Charminar constituencies.

In the campaigning at Jammigadda in the A S Rao Nagar division later, Singh again lashed out at KCR and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that both were deceiving the people by speaking lies.

He also alleged that the prices of essential goods were touching the sky under the rules of the TRS and the NDA.

On a different note, Singh said that all those living in Hyderabad were only Hyderabadis, and assured them that the Congress would stand by the people of all regions and sections.

During is visit to the city, Singh also visited Archbishop Thummabala's residence and honoured him.
