BJP national vice-president Bandaru Dattatreyya, on Sunday, reiterated that his party would support the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation bill in the Parliament.
Addressing a press conference, Dattatreyya said that there had been no change yet in the BJP's stand on the Telangana issue and it would support the bill in the Parliament.
However, he accused the Congress party of creating obstacles in the tabling of the Telangana bill.
Bandaru Dattatreya alleged that the Congress party was responsible for the unruly incidents in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. He said that the violent behaviour of the Congress MPs was aimed at obstructing the introduction and clearance of the Telangana bill in both the Houses of the Parliament.
Dattatreyya said that the
pepper spraying act by Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal had brought disgrace to the world's largest democracy.
He also condemned the other MPs who were defending the actions of Lagadapati and those of the other MPs.
The BJP leader also questioned the continuance of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on his post. He asked as to why the Congress party had not dismissed Kiran Kumar Reddy despite his involvement in these anti-Telangana activities. (INN)
