The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday stated that its Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi does not need film actor Salman Khan to boost his image.
Speaking to media persons at the Assembly media point here, BJP state president G Kishan Reddy said that there is no comparison between the stature of Narendra Modi and Salman Khan.
He said that Modi doesn't need Salman Khan to boost his image among minorities or any others.
In contrast, he added that it was Salman Khan whose image was elevated by meeting Modi.
Kishan Reddy condemned the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen for politicising the meeting between Modi and Salman Khan.
He alleged that the MIM is trying to communalise the atmosphere in the city.
Regarding the State Reorganisation Bill, the BJP leader said that there is no need for further extension of time for the Assembly to debate the Bill.
He held Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy responsible for the present situation and asked him to stop the the ongoing political "dramas" in the state. (INN)
