BJP senior leader and former union minister Ch. Vidyasagar Rao on Saturday appealed to Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar to table the Telangana Bill at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons here, Vidyasagar Rao said that the Speaker could use his special powers to table the Telangana Bill so that it could be sent to the Parliament at the earliest.
Accusing Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of delaying the Telangana Bill, he alleged that all the Congress leaders were enacting the drama scripted by their High Command.
He said that the Congress party is misleading the people of both the regions.
Criticising TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, the BJP leader said that Naidu is experienced in "running away from problems", and this time too he is searching for some excuse to avoid the Telangana Bill.
Vidyasagar Rao also informed that former cricketer V V S Lakshman would flag off the "Run for Unity" on Sunday. (INN)
