Election Of Mayors, Chairpersons On January 27

The selection of Mayors and Chairpersons for the 9 municipal corporations and 120 municipalities that went in for elections will take place on Jan 27.

The selection of Mayors and Chairpersons for the 9 municipal corporations and 120 municipalities in Telangana for which elections were held on January 22, will take place on January 27.

The State Election Commission has released a notification for the selection of the new Mayors and Chairpersons. The first executive meeting will be held to select the leaders for the top posts, on January 27 at around 12:30 pm.

A notification is expected on January 25 for the selection of Deputy Mayors and Vice Chairpersons.

Meanwhile, the TRS is hopeful of winning more than 90% of the seats, and its leaders KCR, K T Rama Rao and Harish Rao are focusing on the candidates for Mayors and Chairpersons.
