Deputy CM Asks Junior Doctors To Resume Duties
Dr Rajaiah, who also holds the Telangana Medical and Health cabinet portfolio, warned the junior doctors of stern action if they continued their strike.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah has appealed to the junior doctors to end their strike and join duties immediately.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, Dr Rajaiah, who also holds the Medical and Health portfolio, warned the junior doctors of stern action if they continued their strike.
He accused the Junior Doctors Association (JUDA) of ignoring his invitations for talks.
He said that the government was ready to resolve the issue by holding negotiations. However, the junior doctors were continuing the strike, and causing hardship to poor patients.
Rajaiah also claimed that the government had accepted four of five demands. But the JUDA was adamant on the compulsory rural service clause.
The Deputy CM reiterated that there had been no dengue deaths in the State so far, and that all public hospitals have been alerted to handle cases of viral fever. (INN)
