The staff and workers' union of the Telangana State Dairy Development Co-op Federation (TSDDCF) alleged today that the federation had been facing many problems including regular financial losses for the past 30 months as a result of faulty decisions taken by its Managing Director, K Nirmala.
Addressing the media, general secretary of the union K Yadaiah and other office-bearers said that due to certain executive decisions taken by the MD, there had been a steep fall in the sale of milk supplied by the federation in Hyderabad and other places, even while AP Dairy which was allowed to use the same Vijaya logo was doing roaring business by selling approximately one lakh litres of milk per day in the market.
The leaders of the union listed as many as 15 irregular and faulty decisions taken by the Managing Director which they claimed had resulted in huge losses to the federation.
They noted that Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, too, had addressed a letter to the Chief Minister in October last year stating that the sale of Vijaya milk in Telangana had come down while the sale of its Andhra counterpart was increasing by the day. The MP had even alleged that it seemed like the present Managing Director's intention was to close down the Telangana unit, and had demanded that the CM order an inquiry into the faulty decisions taken by the MD and transfer her post-haste.
The union leaders appealed to the state government to replace the MD.
