Telangana Constitutes Cabinet Sub-Committee For Six Guarantees
The Telangana government has constituted a cabinet sub-committee headed by Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka for the implementation of the Congress' six guarantees.
The State government has constituted a cabinet sub-committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka for the implementation of the Congress' six guarantees for Telangana.
Ministers Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy have been appointed as members of the Sub-Committee.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a review meeting on the Praja Palana program at the Secretariat today. The meeting was attended by ministers, senior officers of all departments, and nodal officers of public administration.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure that each application received during the Praja Palana program was recorded, and that there were no errors in data entry.
The officials asked the Chief Minister to give them time till the end of January for completing the data entry.
Later, speaking with the media, Minister for I&PR Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that about 1.05 crore applications had been received during the Praja Palana program which ended on January 6, in which about 20 lakh applications were related to ration cards and land.
He informed that after the completion of the data entry, the cabinet sub-committee would discuss the modalities for the identification of the beneficiaries, and would announce the eligible candidates.
The beneficiaries would be selected based on physical verification, and the schemes would then be extended to those who had been identified, Reddy said.
