Hyderabad | 16th January 2017
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) alleged that honest and law-abiding citizens of the nation were brought down by the demonetization of the two currency notes by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the actual black money hoarders were roaming free.

The "Anti-Demonetisation Agitation State-Level Implementation Committee" met at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday where TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, committee chairman Ponnala Laxmaiah, convener Mallu Ravi, co-convener D Sravan, MLAs Ch Vamshichand Reddy and S A Sampath Kumar, TPCC General Secretary Premlal, State Mahila Congress chief Nerella Sharada, State Youth Congress chief M Anil Kumar Yadav, NSUI state President B Venkat, SC Cell chairman A Mohan and other members participated in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the note ban was of no use to the common man and only corrupt people were benefited by it.

He said that the Party prepared an action plan against the move and added that the Party would conduct extensive executive meetings on January 17. Reddy also said that the Party would take up protests in all the district HQs on January 19, under Mahila Congress. And on January 20, the Party would take up "RBI gherao" movement as part of the nationwide Congress-led protests against the RBI.
