Describing Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as an "CM in Absentia", Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that KCR was ruling the state like a landlord, and showing his "dorathanam" treating public issues as secondary.
The Chief Minister had stopped attending the Secretariat and was ruling the state with his own agenda, he alleged.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday along with TPCC general secretary Kusuma Kumar, Vikramarka said that KCR was dictating the people of the State just as he gave directions to his workers at his farmhouse.
He alleged that KCR was taking important decisions unilaterally without consulting any others, at the cost of natural resources.
Finding fault with the Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao for claiming that he had got permission from Maharashtra to construct the Pranahitha-Chevella project, Vikramarka said that Harish Rao had got permission only to construct the barrage upto a height of 148 feet instead of 152 feet, and alleged that injustices would be meted out to Telangana which would lose Rs. 8,000 crores due to the change in the design of the project while Maharashtra benefited from the decrease of height.
He advised the government to work for the sake of the people keeping selfish interests aside.
Another Congress senior leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar alleged that the TRS government had not yet constructed even a single house though it had given a GO for the construction of 60,000 of them.
He alleged that the government had constructed a small colony and was showcasing it all the time.
Finding fault with the IT Minister K T Rama Rao's statement that the government would construct 1.8 lakh houses, he said that the government was passing time without acquiring the land to construct the houses, and was only trying to get votes in the GHMC elections.
Ponnam also alleged that the government had informed something to the Court but was doing something completely different in practice in regard to allocatio of the double bedroom houses. The government had informed the Court that the "grama sabhas" would select the beneficiaries of the houses, but issued orders asking the people to apply for the houses to their local MLA.
He also said that KCR had thrown the people of Chinnamukkalnuru, the village he adopted, on the streets. He accused the government of having demolished the houses of the Chinnmukkalnuru village assuring the affected people that it would construct new houses to them, but not yet starting the construction though five months had gone.
He also alleged that the government was issuing GOs before the elections every time for the sake of votes.
