Telangana Congress Leaders Meet Sushil Kumar Shinde

Rajya Sabha MP R Anand Bhaskar said that the people of Telangana would remain indebted to Sonia Gandhi forever, for her move on Telangana.

A 100-member delegation of the Telangana Congress Monitoring Group called on Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde in New Delhi on Sunday.

The delegation comprising Rajya Sabha MP R Anand Bhaskar and PCC General Secretary G Niranjan thanked Shinde for a favourable decision on the Telangana formation.

Anand later told reporters that the delegation would also meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi to thank them too.

He said that despite several obstacles, Sonia Gandhi made a "courageous decision" of bifurcating Andhra Pradesh.

Anand said that the people of Telangana would remain indebted to Sonia Gandhi forever, for her move on Telangana. (INN)
