Congress Demands 250 Crore For Nayee Brahmins

AICC spokesperson Dasoju Sravan slammed CM K Chandrashekar Rao for "cheating" the Nayee Brahmins of the state and pushing them into an "existential crisis".
Hyderabad | 11th September 2021
AICC spokesperson Dr Dasoju Sravan today slammed Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao for "cheating" the Nayee Brahmins of the state and pushing them into an "existential crisis".

Sravan claimed that the onslaught of modern hair salons and hairstyle brands was threatening the livelihoods of the Nayee Brahmins, and that the TRS government's apathy towards them was further breaking their backs.

He demanded that the government immediately set up a federation for Nayee Brahmins, allocate Rs 250 crore to it, and take steps to set up 30,000 modern hair salons, as promised by the CM during the last Assembly elections.

He said that there was an urgent need for offering financial support and skilling opportunities to Nayee Brahmins to help them stay afloat in today's competitive market.

Highlighting the political and societal significance of Nayee Brahmins, Sravan demanded CM KCR to offer an MLC post for Nayee Brahmins. He warned that Nayee Brahmins can shave off even the power of KCR, like they shave off unwanted hair.
