The Srikrishna comittee's tour that
began in Mahabubnagar on April 19 and started to explore different areas within the state of Andhra Pradesh, ended on Friday. The committee's aim was to consolidate various conflicting opinions over the statehood of Telangana.
The committee met the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) and the Communist Party of India (CPI) on Thursday, and the CPI (Marxist) on Friday.
Justice B N Srikrishna said that each party has its own point of view, and that each of these will be analyzed. A final decision will be taken after considerable deliberation, he said. He also stressed that the committee's tour will not hold any impact over the State Legislative Council elections being held on May 7.
Expressing satisfaction at the proceedings till now, Srikrishna was also confident that the designated work will be completed on schedule.
The Justice Srikrishna committee will come back to the state on the 6th & 7th of May, and also after that, in June.
