The Srikrishna Committee might submit its report to home minister Chidambaram at aound 3 pm today. Home minister Chidambaram may speak to the media after the report submission.
In view of the submission of the Srikrishna Committee's report, the state has beefed up security. The task of maintaining peace at the Secretariat and other important places of Hyderabad has been handed over to the BSF.
Security has also been arranged for the residences of major political leaders.
The BSF, along with the state police, is set to ensure peace in the city.
"The security measures are taken as a precaution," says Home Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy. She has requested all student bodies, political parties and the general public of the state to cooperate with the government, and to remain peaceful on the submission of Srikrishna Committee's report.
Sabitha Indira Reddy has said that the security measures have been taken considering the Naxals and terrorists in the state, and not just in view of the report submission.
