The Justice Sri Krishna Committee set up by the Centre in order to look into the Telangana issue met today at Delhi's Vigyan Bhavan.
The committee is said to have discussed its future course of events, and a framework has been set in place. There were also discussions on the security issues its members will face while touring the state of AP, given the antagonism of certain political and civil groups towards it.
The panel will come to Hyderabad in the first week of March, and start holding discussions with important persons. Members said representations from people are pouring in - both for Telangana and for a united Andhra Pradesh - and that the committee is analyzing contents of these representations.
Members also said they will take 2 months to begin their process, and that hopefully, by the end of the period an amiable solution will be found.
