Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Monday stated that the Central government would send additional forces to Andhra Pradesh, if requested, after the submission of the Justice B N Srikrishna Commission's report on the situation in the State.
Talking to media persons, the Union Minister said the Centre would extend any kind of help to the State to meet any kind of situation after the submission of the Report.
Chidambaram said the Commission, as per its promise, would submit its report to the Centre by December 31, 2010.
He said the Centre would take a final decision on the formation of the Telangana state based on the Commission's report.
"The Commission is submitting its report at the appropriate time, and the government will take a decision based on the report," he said.
