The Telangana Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today confirmed the EAMCET-2 medical entrance exam paper leak.
CID sleuths have reportedly taken three suspects into custody for interrogation and concluded that the paper was indeed leaked. The investigators have traced the origin of the leak to a printing press in Delhi.
The police examined the call log data of the prime suspect Ramesh, and came to know that he had spoken to one of JNTU's assistant professors several times, after which they decided to interrogate the latter. However Ramesh and the professor were missing. Four police teams are searching for them.
As per investigators, around 60 students benefited from the paper leak. The alleged fraudsters took the aspirants to Mumbai and Bengaluru two days before the examination and gave them the question papers against a payment of at least Rs 25 lakhs per head.
It was learnt that the same fraudsters had earlier leaked a PG medical examination question paper.
