In the wake of the EAMCET-2 paper leak scandal that created a furore across the State and resulted in the test being cancelled, the Telangana government is planning to release the schedule for EAMCET-3, whose results will take the place of those of EAMCET-2, on Tuesday, August 2nd.
The government is expected to finalize things after the High Court's verdict on the cancellation of EAMCET-2, scheduled for August 2nd.
Despite protests from student unions, students and their parents, the TRS government cancelled EAMCET-2, reportedly after advice that what had come out so far was merely the tip of the iceberg. The government apparently is planning to bury the fiasco by conducting a fresh examination at the earliest, and simultaneously penalising the culprits, four of whom have already been arrested.
Keeping the guidelines mandated by the Medical Council Of India in view, the State government is aiming to complete the entire process of conducting the entrance examination and the admission process so that medical colleges across the State can start by September 30.
The officials have been asked to announce the results of EAMCET-3 in the first week of September.
