Taking a serious note of the alleged irregularities in conducting EAMCET-2 and allegations of leakage of the paper, the Telangana government has ordered a high level inquiry, said Health And Medical Education Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today.
Recently the government released the results of the medical entrance examinations conducted through EAMCET-2, and process of counselling is on to fill up about 3,000 seats at various government and private colleges.
However, allegations surfaced that some students had left the coaching centres a week before the coaching period was completed with purported CDs of the papers leaked. And while several hitherto academically poor students without much knowledge excelled in the test, the more meritorious students failed to get good ranks, adding fuel to the allegations. It is being speculated that some middlemen minted crores in the murky deal by supplying the students with related CDs.
News reports in the media about the EAMCET-2 leakage have apparently given a sort of headache to the State government, and taking a serious note of the issue that may turn a scar on the government and on his department, the Health Minister said that an inquiry had been ordered. He hastened to add that if the alleged leakage was found to have indeed happened, the government would take serious action on those involved.
