BJP Demands To Know By When 50,000 Covid Tests Will Be Done

Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today demanded that the state government reveal the number of days in which it would complete the promised 50,000 Covid-19 detection tests announced by it.

He demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao respond on his demand and tell the state the timeframe the 50,000 tests would be completed in.

He alleged that the CM had announced the 50,000 tests as he was scared of an intervention by the central government in the issue.

He said that the central government had intervened in Delhi to control the spread of the virus as the state government had failed to do so, and that KCR was worried about the same happening in Telangana.

Referring to the visit to Gandhi Hospital by state Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, he mocked the CM for not leaving Pragathi Bhavan or his Erravelli farmhouse.

He also mocked the TRS MLAs infected by the coronavirus saying that they had contracted the virus as they did not follow social distance norms during the inauguration ceremony of the Konda Pochamma Sagar reservoir in Siddipet district.

Sanjay also demanded the state government include Covid-19 in its cashless Aarogyasri health insurance scheme. He added that the state government should also implement the central government's Ayushman Bharat scheme in Telangana if it was not able to include Covid-19 in its health insurance scheme.

Commenting on the issuance of GO Ms No 245, he alleged that the GO was meant to help the corporate hospitals of the state.
