Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today demanded that the state government immediately release job notifications, keeping the lakhs of unemployed youth of the state in mind.
He also demanded that the state government give unemployment allowances to all the eligible unemployed youth, with effect from the year 2018.
Bandi claimed that the unemployed youth of the state were facing a lot of problems due to the lack of recruitment for government jobs in the state for the last seven years.
These youth had played a pivotal role in the first and the second phases of the separate statehood agitation, and lakhs of them had been waiting for jobs for years together since statehood, Bandi said. Many of them had even gotten disqualified now as they had exceeded the age limit prescribed, he added.
Giving specific numbers, he pointed out that former TSPSC Chairman Ghanta Chakrapani had said that 25 lakh graduates of the state had registered their names on the website of the commission for securing government jobs, and that the C R Biswal Committee had announced that 2.9 lakh government jobs were vacant in the state.
However, the state government repeatedly violated its promises to fill the vacancies, Bandi said. He also pointed out that the state government had not conducted Group 1 exams even once after the formation of Telangana state.
Indeed, the separate Telangana agitation was done for water, funds and jobs, but the CM's family and his supporters were the only ones who benefited from the formation of Telangana state, Bandi alleged. He mockingly said that while water was given to the farmhouse of the CM, funds and jobs were given to his family members and supporters.
He reiterated his demand that notifications be released immediately to fill all the vacant government jobs, and said that recruitment and joining should happen in a timely fashion after that.
