Speaker Condemns Violence In LS

Speaker Meira Kumar condemns the incidents which took place during the tabling of the Telangana Bill.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, on Thursday, strongly condemned the use of pepper spray and other violent acts in the House by Seemandhra MPs.

The Speaker, who looked quite upset, described the incident as a blot on the Parliamentary democracy system which is admired throughout the world.

"I'm overwhelmed with pain. This has ashamed us," she said.

The Speaker said that she would have a consultation meeting on what action should be taken against the erring MPs. (INN)
