Lagadapati's Resignation Accepted

Lok Sabha Speaker accepts expelled MP Lagadapati Rajagopal's resignation.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, on Wednesday, accepted the resignation of Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal from his post as an MP.

The Speaker informed the House that she had received Lagadapati's resignation and that she was accepting the same.

Lagadapati, who had created a storm by using a can of pepper spray in the Lok Sabha during the tabling of the Telangana bill, resigned from the post of a Lok Sabha member and also announced that he was quitting active politics in protest against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. (INN)
