T-Bandh: Rs. 4.4 Cr Loss To RTC

51 RTC buses were damaged in the violence caused due to the bandh, across various Telangana districts
Hyderabad | 5th September 2010
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has suffered a loss of Rs. 4.4 crore, thanks to the Telangana bandh called by the Telangana and Osmania University Joint Action Committee members.

The bandh was in protest of the APPSC move to conduct the Group I preliminary examinations without making its stand clear on the 42% quota that was demanded for candidates from the Telangana region.

In a release issued to the media, the statement said that 51 RTC buses were damaged in the violence caused due to the bandh, across various Telangana districts.
