The monsoon session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die today after seven working days and the passing of seven bills.
The house ran for 37 hours and five minutes cumulatively during this session, and more or less smoothly.
In total 41 members from various political parties including the TRS, AIMIM, Congress and BJP spoke on various issues.
On the last day today, the house conducted brief discussions on six different issues pertaining to development and welfare.
Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, BJP leader Raja Singh and AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi urged the government to address different issues pertaining to welfare and development programs in the city and the state.
Leader of the house and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao then replied to the queries of, and gave the clarifications sought by, the members from the Congress, BJP, AIMIM and TRS.
The CM informed the Assembly that the government would continue all the ongoing welfare schemes in the state, and sought the cooperation of all the political parties.
The Assembly also unanimously passed a resolution seeking a caste-wise split of the Backward Classes in the general census of 2021.
The Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy then adjourned the house sine die.
Likewise, Council Chairman Bhupal Reddy too adjourned the Council sine die after Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao gave replies to the queries of the members on welfare and development programs.
