There will be only two working days this time as the government is gearing up to conduct the celebrations to mark 75 years of Hyderabad State's liberation.
The monsoon session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly which began on Tuesday was adjourned till September 12 after condolence motions were adopted mourning the deaths of ex-legislators in the recent past.
The members observed silence for a while mourning the deaths of former MLAs Mallu Swarajyam, who had represented Tungathurthi Assembly constituency, and Paripati Janardhan Reddy, who was elected from the Kamalapur Assembly constituency.
Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy then adjourned the House till September 12.
Later, the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the legislature, headed by Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, was held, and decided to conduct the sessions for two more days, on September 12 and 13.
Deputy Speaker T Padma Rao Goud; Minister for Legislative Affairs Vemula Prashanth Reddy; other ministers T Harish Rao, Gangula Kamalakar and Koppula Eshwar; Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar; MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi; and Congress MLA Batti Vikramarka took part in the BAC meeting.
The Speaker reduced the sessions to just two working days as the State government is gearing up to conduct three-day-long diamond jubilee year celebrations from September 16 to mark 75 years of the Hyderabad State liberation, and observe September 17 as Telangana National Integration Day.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao didn't attend the BAC. And the MLAs from the Bharatiya Janata Party were not invited to attend it.
