Governor E S L Narasimhan on Friday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed him about the current situation in the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons later, the Governor said that he had discussed various issues with the Prime Minister although the discussions were general in nature.
"Both the States are doing very well. The law and order is being maintained well in both the States, and both the Chief Ministers are doing well," he said, adding that problems did not exist between the two States.
When asked about the controversy regarding the Intermediate examinations, the Governor said that the exams were being conducted and that students would not suffer. He said that the students' interests would be protected.
The Governor refused to answer questions related to Special Status for Andhra Pradesh. (INN)
