Senior Congress leader and former member of Rajya Sabha V Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday took objection to the Union government asking E S L Narasimhan to continue as Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh after the expiry of the latter's term.
Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan, Rao said that he would dash off a letter to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh against the continuance of Narasimhan as the Governor of the two Telugu states. He said that the two states would not get justice as long as Narasimhan remained Governor.
He also said that since AICC general secretary in-charge of the Telugu states Digvijaya Singh had stood by his charge against the Telangana police and was ready to prove his allegations, the State government should conduct an inquiry into the charge.
