The results of the Telangana 2023 Intermediate public examinations were announced today.
A total of about 9.47 lakh students, including first and second year students and vocational course students, appeared for the exams, and 63.49% of the students cleared all the papers.
Announcing the results, Minister for Education P Sabitha Indra Reddy said that the pass percentage was 62.85 among first year students and 67.27 among those of the second year.
Specifically, a total of 4,33,082 first year students appeared for the exams of which 2,72,208 students cleared them. And a total of 3,80,920 students appeared for the second year exams of which 2,56,241 students passed.
Girls outperformed boys in the results. The pass percentage in girls was 68.68, and that in boys was 54.66.
Reddy appealed to those students who could not clear the exams not to get disheartened. She also said that the State government had decided to remove the 25% weightage of Intermediate marks for EAMCET this year to reduce the academic pressure among the students.
She further said that the recounting process would be held between May 10 and 16, and the advanced supplementary exams would begin on June 4.
