AISF Activists Lay Siege To Minister's Quarters
Activists of the AISF today laid siege to the office of Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy over the Intermediate first year exam results.

Activists of the AISF today laid siege to the office of Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy in Basheerbagh demanding that the state government take responsibility for the suicides of Intermediate students Jahnavi from Nalgonda district and Dhanush from Bhupalapalle district.
The activists tried to barge into the office of the minister. However, they were prevented from entering the office by the police present at the minister's office.
Speaking on the occasion, the state president of the federation Ashok Stalin alleged that the state government was playing with the lives of the Intermediate students of the state.
He alleged that the authorities of the Intermediate board had retracted from their promise of passing all the students who had appeared for the first year exams keeping in view the novel coronavirus spread, and that 51% of the students had been declared failed.
He claimed that the majority of the students could not clear the exams as the state government had not provided proper teaching to them. He said that of the 2.25 lakh failed students, 1.75 lakh had studied in government colleges.
He demanded that the state government take action against the officials who were responsible for the failures of the students. Claiming that 27 Intermediate students had committed suicides in the past due to the failures of the officials of the board, he demanded that the authorities pass all the failed students keeping in view their futures.
