TDP, YSRCP Activists Clash In Krishna District
The incident took place after heated arguments between YSRCP Krishna district president K Parthasarathi and Machilipatnam MLA Bode Prasad during a grama sabha.
Activists of the ruling TDP and the YSR Congress Party clashed at Pedda Ogirala village in Uyyooru mandal of Krishna district on Friday.
The incident took place after heated arguments between former minister and YSRCP Krishna district president K Parthasarathi, and Machilipatnam MLA Bode Prasad during a grama sabha held in the village as part of the ongoing Janmabhoomi - Maa Vooru program.
When Parthasarathi tried to take part in the grama sabha, TDP activists blocked him. This prompted the YSRCP leader to leave the place.
When Parthasarathi tried to attend the meeting once again, the local police, who were already present at the spot, did not allow him and his supporters from entering the meeting area, by stopping them on the national highway. On receiving the news about the goings-on, the MLA and his supporters also reached the national highway, and started arguing with the YSRCP leader and activists.
This prompted the TDP activists to attack the YSRCP activists with stones. Sensing more trouble, the police dispersed the activists of both parties.
