TDP Should Address Core Issues: YSR Congress
Instead of diverting attention via talk about the capital city, Naidu should concentrate on the relief works in the cyclone-ravaged State, YSRCP said.

The YSR Congress Party has demanded that the TDP government shun from its yearning for publicity, and categorically announce the measures it would be taking to provide succour to the families affected by Cyclone Hudhud, resolve the Srisailam issue and waive farm loans in one installment.
"Instead of dilly-dallying and diverting the attention of the people via talk about the capital city at this hour of crisis, Chandrababu Naidu should concentrate more on the currently pressing issues, beginning with the relief and rehabilitation works in the cyclone-ravaged north coastal Andhra," Party MLA G Sreekanth Reddy told reporters on Sunday.
The Government was found wanting on many counts, he stated. In the cyclone-hit areas, no proper enumeration had been conducted to assess the loss, power supply had not restored in many areas, and compensation was not paid to the affected people, he alleged.
"The Chief Minister has always been resorting to tall talk whenever there has been a crisis, and the Srisailam issue has blown out into a political controversy due to lack of foresight by Chandrababu Naidu, who issued a GO decreasing the limit of Srisailam waters for hydel power," he said.
When the TRS government of Telangana was exploiting the situation, Naidu was staying silent and resorting to diversionary tactics by announcing the extent of land required for the capital city, reducing it from one lakh acres to 30,000 acres, Reddy said.
Being the partner of the NDA government at the Centre, the TDP should mount pressure on the Prime Minister to solve the Srisailam crisis and save Rayalaseema from going dry, he said.
The loan waiver should also be given in one go to benefit the farmers, and should not be staggered, he said. (INN)
