AP Categorises Assistance To Cyclone-Hit People
Appropriate gratuitous relief will be provided to the families affected by the heavy gales and non-stop torrential downpours over the past 2 days.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to provide appropriate gratuitous relief to the families affected by the heavy gales and non-stop torrential downpours over the past two days as a result of the very severe cyclonic storm Hudhud.
In a partial modification of the earlier instructions for providing assistance to the population in the affected districts, the government has further categorised the villages as "severely affected" (with over 50% households affected) and "partially affected" (with less than 50% of households affected).
The Commissioner of Disaster Management, vide GO Ms No 10 Revenue (DM 1) Dept dated 17-10-2014, informed that the scale of gratuitous relief and assistance to the category of severely affected villages / municipal corporations (for all families) as a special case would be 25 kgs rice, 5 litres kerosene (particularly the Paderu revenue division), 2 kgs dal, 1 litre palm oil, 0.5 kg chilli powder, 1 kg salt, 1 kg sugar, 3 kgs potato (GVMC) and 2 kgs onions (GVMC).
The scale of assistance in the partially affected villages and municipal corporations will be 10 kgs rice, 1 kg dal, 1 litre palm oil, 0.5 kg chilli powder, 1 kg salt and 1 kg sugar.
The revised scales of gratuitous relief will be provided to affected families with effect from October 17. (INN)
