Backward Classes Welfare Association national president and TDP MLA R Krishnaiah today said that a new party would be floated soon for the BCs.
An action plan would be prepared soon for the setting up of the new political party, Krishnaiah said while addressing the BC welfare Association state executive meeting in Guntur.
He said that public meetings would be organized at Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Anantapur, Kurnool and Rajahmundry for bringing unity among the BCs.
No political party was encouraging or allotting seats to BCs, who were 56% of the population, the BC leader said. He demanded 50% reservation for BCs in all legislative bodies. He also opposed the inclusion of the Kapu community in the BC list.
He demanded that the Union government fill 14 lakh vacant posts, including over one lakh posts in Andhra Pradesh.
