Taking exception to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's assurance that Kapus would be included in the list of Backward Classes and provided reservation, Telangana TDP legislator and BC Welfare Association leader R Krishnaiah on Wednesday called upon the Backward Classes people to lay siege to the collectorates in every district in the State on Thursday.
Speaking to mediapersons on today, Krishnaiah said, "With Chandrababu Naidu's promise to include Kapus among the BCs, the latter are fearing more injustice to them if the overpopulated Kapus are added to the list. Therefore, the CM should change his unilateral decision."
He called upon the BCs in 138 castes to join the agitation and make Chandrababu Naidu countermand his decision on Kapus. He said, "The BCs will show their power by organizing a meeting in every district with over five lakh BCs."
He also demanded that the AP Chief Minister take immediate steps to fulfil his 16 promises mentioned in his Party manifesto.
