"Corrupt YSR, Kiran Kumar Caused Power Crisis"

TDP MLA Anumula Revanth Reddy alleged that the ongoing power crisis in the state is the result of massive corruption on part of former Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhar Reddy, and his successor Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Talking to reporters in the Telugu Desam Legislature Party office here on Tuesday, Revanth Reddy said that the TDP government had proposed to several power projects, and former CM N Chandrababu Naidu had also initiated several measures towards the same. However, alleged Revanth Reddy, YSR had handed over those projects to private parties in return for kickbacks.

Revanth Reddy further alleged that the present Chief Minister was making personal gains by purchasing power from other states. He claimed that the energy crisis would not have occurred if the TDP's plans had been implemented. (INN)
