A delegation of TDP leaders, led by MLAs M Narasimhulu and R Chandrasekhar Reddy, on Wednesday, called on Governor E S L Narasimhan, seeking the dismissal of Major Industries minister Dr. J Geetha Reddy.
Talking to reporters after submitting a memorandum to the Governor at Raj Bhavan, Narasimhulu said that the TDP leaders have requested Narasimhan to use his discretionary powers to sack Geetha Reddy and other ministers who have been named as accused in the CBI chargesheet in Jaganmohan Reddy's Disproportionate Assets case.
They complained that 8 ministers who have been named by the CBI have been continuing in their posts.
Alleging that the late Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and his son Jaganmohan Reddy had looted the state from 2004 to 2009, they urged the Governor to order the seizure of Jagan's properties and distribute them among poor beneficiaries. (INN)
