TDP's Padayatra For TTD Corruption
Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu revealed that his party has decided to embark on a 'padayatra' to Tirumala on August 7 to expose the irregularities in the board.
Demanding stringent action against the irregularities in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's Trust Board, senior Telugu Desam Party leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu revealed that his party has decided to embark on a 'padayatra' to Tirumala on August 7 to expose the irregularities in the board.
Talking to media persons on Saturday, Muddukrishnama Naidu revealed that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu will embark on the 'padayatra' which will start from Alipiri and reach the temple on August 7.
He said the TDP members would proceed to Tirumala on foot along with party MLAs and activists from all the 4 Rayalaseema districts. The TDP would organize a massive protest march with 20,000 workers in front of the Executive Officer's office in Tirumala, he stated.
Earlier TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu had decided to organise a silent protest at the Tirumala main temple against the irregularities in the TTD. However, he cancelled his silence protest not to give political colour to the event, he stated.
Muddukrishnama Naidu said he would pray that the Lord grants administrative abilities to Congress members, to put an end to corruption in TTD Board.
He alleged that all the special seva tickets were grabbed by some influential persons for the next 50 years and the board members were selling tickets at higher rates.
On August 8, Naidu would visit Srikalahasti temple and examine the collapsed Rajagopuram. On the same day, Naidu would proceed to Kanipakam temple and enquire about the irregularities in the administration of the temple, he said.
