TDP MLC Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu exuded confidence that Andhra Pradesh would get special status soon, and said the TDP would fight for it.

TDP MLC Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu today exuded confidence that Andhra Pradesh would get special status soon.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, he said that the Centre might be under the impression that special status was not necessary because the funds for AP by the 14th Finance Commission had been increased from 32% to 42%. However, the TDP would fight with the Centre for getting special status, he averred.

Naidu alleged that the Congress and the YSR Congress Party were creating hurdles for the process of special status being granted to the state. He also ridiculed YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for his dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for special status for the state.
