AP minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was got special status for the state deleted from the agenda for the Feb 17 meeting.
Andhra Pradesh minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy on Monday alleged that TDP president and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was behind the deletion of special category status for the residual state from the agenda for the meeting called for by the Centre on February 17 to discuss the issues pending from the AP bifurcation.
Speaking after participating in some development programs in Jaggayyapeta in Krishna district, Peddireddy said that the person behind the conspiracy behind the deletion of special category status to Andhra Pradesh was none other than Chandrababu Naidu.
He alleged that the former CM had gotten the job of deleting the key promise of special category status from the Centre's agenda done by his party leaders in the BJP, and that Naidu had no moral right to talk about the issue.
He also accused Naidu of selling himself to the Centre for a package.
He reiterated that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was committed to getting special category status to residual Andhra Pradesh under any circumstances, and that the ruling party would uncompromisingly fight for the status.
