Disciplinary Action Against Nagam?
TDP MLA Mahender Reddy on Monday stated that he had appealed to the party President N Chandrababu Naidu to take disciplinary action against Telangana TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Mahender Reddy on Monday stated that he had appealed to the party President N Chandrababu Naidu to take disciplinary action against Telangana TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy.
Party rebel Nagam has been making headlines for going against the TDP's norms ever since he hosted the Telangana Nagara in Nagarkurnool, without getting the go-ahead from Naidu first.
Later, when the party President accepted the conduction of Telangana Nagaras, an internal conflict raged within the party, with Telangana leaders Nagam and Errabelli Dayakar Rao debating whether or not to hoist the TDP flag at the event.
Naidu had technically stoppered this argument by declaring that the flag should make an appearance at the Telangana Nagaras, but disagreements still exist.
Nagam Janardhan Reddy had on Sunday demanded that the issue of Telangana be discussed at the Mahanadu, TDP's annual event that will be held in Gandipet later this week, after Chandrababu made a media statement saying the Telangana issue did not feature in the issues-to-address list for the event.
This seems to have been the last straw for those ticked off by the rebellish attitude of the Telangana leader, and if sources are to be believed, a group of MLAs had on Monday morning asked Chandrababu Naidu to initiate disciplinary action against Nagam.
