Nagam Janardhan Reddy says that Sonia Gandhi is responsible for the suicides of Telangana youth who were frustrated because of the delay in Telangana formation.
BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy, on Monday, held AICC president Sonia Gandhi responsible for the suicide committed by nearly 1200 students and young people for the formation of a separate Telangana state.
Speaking to media personnel, Nagam said that Sonia Gandhi had promised to bring about the formation of Telangana while addressing a public meeting during the 2004 elections.
However, Nagam alleged, she had gone back on her promise and had delayed the decision, and that, only after having sensed that the Congress party would be wiped out of the region, Sonia Gandhi had finally initiated the process of Telangana formation.
He said that it was due to Sonia Gandhi's delay that the youth had been forced to commit suicide for the statehood cause.
Nagam also condemned the inclusion of the seven mandals of Khammam in the Seemandhra region. (INN)
