Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde made light of the resignation submitted by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday.
When asked for his comments on Kiran's resignation, Shinde did not respond with any gravity of manner. He simply said that the Chief Minister had been opposing the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh since the beginning. Therefore, he (Kiran Kumar Reddy) had no other option but to resign from his post.
It may be mentioned that Kiran Kumar Reddy not only resigned as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh but also as an MLA and a primary member of the Congress party on Wednesday morning. (INN)
