Former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Thursday, filed a petition in the Supreme Court in protest against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Kiran had earlier announced that he would wage a legal battle against the division of Andhra Pradesh, and has finally moved the Supreme Court today.
As much as 12 petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court since President Pranab Mukherjee had approved the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill.
The petitioners include expelled Congress MPs V Arun Kumar, Sabbam Hari and Rayapati Sambasiva Rao. The petitions are likely to come up for hearing on Friday.
Meanwhile, Kiran is also likely to take a final decision on floating a new party by Thursday evening. (INN)
