Senior TDP leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu described the allegations levelled by former minister Konda Surekha against former Government Advisor and Rajya Sabha Member KVP Ramachandra Rao as a mere echo of what his party had been saying since the past 6 years.
Speaking to media persons on Assembly premises, Muddukrishnama Naidu pointed out that KVP's sons were the owners of a 500 MW power plant. He expressed his wonderment at how KVP's sons had managed to finance such a huge power plant.
Muddukrishnama Naidu also trained his guns at former Chief Minister, the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, his son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, and Cabinet Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, by saying that KVP himself was a 'broker' who could only manage 10% as commission. The TDP leader added that while the broker, with only a 10% share, could make thousands of crores of rupees, it was left to the imagination of the people how much the 'dealers' could have made.
Muddukrishnama Naidu said that Surekha's 'echo', though late, was welcome, as was her demand for a CBI probe into KVP's assets.
He then went on to wonder why should KVP alone be probed, when Jaganmohan Reddy and Lakshmaiah were allowed to go free.
Muddukrishnama Naidu added that Jaganmohan Reddy's assets should be frozen while the CBI probe went ahead.
